The safety supplies closet that we usually have filled every month is almost empty. I think that with all the budget cuts, someone forgot to make sure that there was a little left for safety supplies. One of the biggest things that are stressed when you come to work for this company is safety and how to use every safety supply in the closet.

There should be a new set of recruits coming through in about two weeks and when they watch that training video that we all had to watch, they will not be able to use real safety supplies to practice with like we all did. In fact, they will not be able to start working until they have all done one practice procedure with each of the products in the video.

The other thing that got me thinking was if the safety closet was almost empty, then it was possible that the cleaning products could be running low since we used the same company for both. I decided to check it out after lunch and found exactly what I suspected. There were enough cleaning products to probably get through the next week or so, but after that we would have nothing. It was time to do something about this, so I took matters into my own hands.
