When the local library was doing some renovations, they decided to put in vinyl windows. I thought that since I knew of a Chicago replacement windows company that I would call them for the library and ask them to help out.
They were more than happy to come and look at the library and work out something with them. We held many fundraisers to raise the money for the renovations. We even had where patrons of the library could “buy” the vinyl windows and then we would put their name above the window they had donated to the library.
The Chicago replacement windows company loved that idea and actually donated five of the windows themselves. The whole renovation project took about six months to complete. The community came together for a worthwhile cause and made sure that everything that was needed got done. I love going to the library now and seeing all the names of the people who donated items and especially the vinyl window that my family donated. There are computers, benches and lots of other items that were donated in the renovations. The whole project benefitted the entire community. They should all be very proud of the way it turned out and help to make sure everything is taken care of.
